College Tuition

Does it seem like college tuition is ridiculously expensive? An article from the CollegeBoard (you know, the SAT people), provides the latest figures for college tuition costs. They claim that the average student at a private, four-year school paid $25,143 this year, up 5.9%. Their public school counterparts paid just $6,585 (makes me glad I went to a public school!).

For some good news, the LA Times covers a National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities report that tuition will increase just 4.3% in the upcoming 09-10 school year. That's a 37-year low (but still an increase in cost!).
